The Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) has announced the institution of a monthly “Democracy Day” Going forward, this open‑forum event will be held on the first Monday of each month— or, if that day falls on a public holiday, on the next working day.

The Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) has announced the institution of a monthly “Democracy Day” Going forward, this open‑forum event will be held on the first Monday of each month— or, if that day falls on a public holiday, on the next working day.
During Democracy Day, residents may present personal petitions or complaints directly to the Commissioner and senior municipal officials. To ensure adequate preparation, citizens must submit their requests in the prescribed format, in two copies, at least 15 days before the scheduled date.
PMC officials have emphasized that only matters of a personal nature will be considered, and have urged applicants to adhere strictly to the submission guidelines. This initiative aims to strengthen citizen engagement and transparency in local governance.
