Panvel Municipal Corporation Hosts Sales Exhibition For 400 Women Entrepreneurs From Self-Help Groups
The exhibition is being held from January 10 till January 12 and is being conducted under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana National Urban Livelihoods Mission.

Over 400 odd women associated with self- help groups have displayed their wares and products at a sales exhibition held in Panvel. The exhibition organised by Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) has brought these women on a common platform with the intention of providing them a means to business.
The exhibition is being held from January 10 till January 12 and is being conducted under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana National Urban Livelihoods Mission.
“The initiative aims to promote the products of women entrepreneurs from Self-Help Groups, offering them a platform to showcase and sell a wide array of goods,” said an official from the corporation.

The exhibition is held through three wards ward A - – Mithas Sweets Corner, Sector 13, Phase 1, Taloja, Cidco community center at Kamothe and in front of the panvel ward office.
On Friday, Deputy Commissioner Babasaheb Rajale and Assistant Commissioner Smita Kale visited the exhibition to interact with the women participating in the event. They gathered insights into the various products being offered and encouraged the entrepreneurs for their efforts.
“ Through this exhibition we wanted to motivate the women involved in some business but also support the 415 self groups working in the panvel region. These groups provide women with the opportunity to create a variety of products, ranging from food items to clothing and accessories,” said the official.
The exhibition features an extensive range of items, including cutlery, snacks, spices, papad, kurdai, modak, sandge, sevai, organic jaggery, torans, purses, jewelry, clothes, flower jewelry, sarees, ornaments, mehndi cones, and more.
With Makar Sankranti just around the corner, the exhibition also has items required for the festival that includes kites and ceremonial products.
The Panvel Municipal Corporation has called on local citizens to visit the exhibition and support the Self-Help Groups by purchasing the products.
