Panvel Municipal Corporation Conducts Deworming And Health Camp For 79 Cattle At Historic Panjarpol Shelter
In a notable step toward livestock welfare, the Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) organized a deworming and health check-up camp for cattle at the 100-year-old Panjarpol in Panvel. The initiative was undertaken by the civic body’s Veterinary Department.

Panvel: In a notable step toward livestock welfare, the Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) organized a deworming and health check-up camp for cattle at the 100-year-old Panjarpol in Panvel. The initiative was undertaken by the civic body’s Veterinary Department.
A total of 79 cattle were dewormed during the camp. In addition to deworming, the program also included general health check-ups, treatment, pregnancy tests, and infertility screenings for 30 cows. Pregnant, infertile, and undernourished cows were also provided with free mineral supplements and calcium tonics to aid recovery and boost health.
"The civic body’s proactive outreach is being lauded as a model initiative for promoting animal health and creating awareness among local cattle rearers," said a resident.
