Palghar Police Lead Cleanliness Drive At Tungareshwar Temple After Mahashivratri Rush
The temple, situated about four kilometers from the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Highway, is surrounded by dense forests and hills, with no shops nearby.

Palghar, Maharashtra: Tungareshwar, a renowned ancient temple of Lord Shiva located on Tungareshwar Hills in Vasai East, attracts thousands of devotees every year, especially during Mahashivratri. The temple, situated about four kilometers from the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Highway, is surrounded by dense forests and hills, with no shops nearby. As a result, devotees often bring their own food and supplies during their visit.
This year, on 26th February, a large crowd gathered at the temple to celebrate Mahashivratri. Unfortunately, the high number of visitors left behind a significant amount of garbage, making the area dirty, including the temple grounds and the surrounding path.
