Navi Mumbai: Panvel Municipal Corporation Intensifies Crackdown On Property Tax Defaulters

The Tax Collection and Assessment Department of the Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) has intensified its crackdown on tax defaulters. The department has increased its manpower for seizure and tax recovery operations. The administration has also launched a seizure drive against factories in Taloja MIDC and tax-defaulted hotels and lodges in Kalamboli for non-payment of property tax.
PMC has issued 447 pre-seizure notices and 27 warrant notices across various nodes in its jurisdiction The commissioner has warned that the seizure drive will intensify further in the coming days.
Before initiating seizure and attachment proceedings.Earlier the administration had served seven-day notice to tax defaulters " Some establishments failed to clear their dues despite multiple warrant notices, therefore corporation has now intensified its crackdown,"said an official.
