Navi Mumbai: The Kharghar-Taloja Colony Welfare Association (KTCWA) has formally submitted a request to the Panvel Municipal Corporation, urging the immediate completion of an unfinished footpath in Sector 35, Kharghar. The appeal highlights longstanding issues of safety and cleanliness resulting from the incomplete stretch.
The letter, dated April 23, 2025, draws attention to the approximately 30-meter gap in the footpath near plot 1H, behind the Hydepark temple. According to the KTCWA, the area has remained neglected since construction work began, leading to it becoming a hotspot for debris accumulation and garbage dumping—despite ongoing cleaning efforts.
Signed by KTCWA Chairman Mangesh Ranawade and member Jyoti Nadkarni, the letter emphasizes the importance of finishing the remaining stretch to ensure pedestrian safety and maintain environmental hygiene in the locality.
"The request has been acknowledged by the municipal office. we now await further action from civic authorities to resolve the issue before the onset of monsoons," said a resident.
