Navi Mumbai: The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has launched a swift and coordinated drive to tackle road damage across the city occurring due to the continuous rain. Branded as the ‘Road Repair Squad,’ this rapid response team is on high alert, addressing potholes and water-damaged roads as they emerge.
Engineers deployed on-site for real-time repairs
Comprised of junior, deputy, and executive engineers, the squad is physically present at multiple locations, ensuring real-time assessment and immediate repairs. The move comes as part of the civic body’s proactive monsoon response strategy, aiming to minimize disruption and ensure commuter safety.

City Engineer officials are monitoring the progress closely, coordinating round-the-clock with zonal teams.
