Central Railway's mainline services faced significant delays on Wednesday morning after a tragic incident occurred near Badlapur station.
An Official's Statement
"The Badlapur local train was detained at the Badlapur UP loop near the home signal between 8:05 am and 8:40 am after an unidentified individual was fatally knocked down while allegedly trespassing on the tracks" said an official.
The unfortunate incident not only disrupted the detained train but also caused a ripple effect, leading to delays and halts for several other local trains operating on the Central Railway’s main line. As a result, commuters experienced extended travel times during peak morning hours.

Railway officials, along with emergency responders, reached the spot immediately to manage the situation and clear the track. Normal services resumed gradually after the tracks were declared clear and safe for operation.
Authorities have once again appealed to the public to avoid trespassing on railway tracks and to use foot overbridges.
