Navi Mumbai Crime News: 3 Arrested In Koparkhairne For Possessing Knife, Live Cartridges; Police Investigate Motives

Navi Mumbai: Three individuals were arrested in Koparkhairane, Navi Mumbai, for possessing a village knife and three live cartridges. This measure has been implemented by the patrol police. The police are looking into whether the alleged suspect brought the village knife to murder someone or to sell it.
Sautmartan Prakash Singh, 24 years old, resident of Sector 19, Koparkhairane. Parveznagar, District. Badayu, Tehsil, Bhisoli, Uttar Pradesh. Pintu Sompal Kumar, 22 years old, works in agriculture, lives in Sector 19 Koparkhairane, Navi Mumbai, and hails from the village of Rajghat in the district. Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, and Abhay Bobby Rajput, 24 years old, resident of Koparkhairane Sector 19, Navi Mumbai.

On August 14, Police Constable Lalit Mahajan, Beat Marshal of Koparkhairane Police Station, was informed that a crowd was gathered around the Pet Corner near Shantidoot Mahavir Udyan, close to the public toilet in Sector 23.

Upon receiving this information, Senior Police Inspector Audumbar Patil promptly assigned a team that included Police Sub-Inspector Umesh Shedge, Police Constables Mahajan, Chikne, Donde, Pardeshi, Bhangre, Kanwade, Salunkhe, and Yadav. During a search in Sector 23 and its vicinity, the three suspects were located. When the police squad apprehended them and conducted a search, a village knife and six live rounds were discovered during their body check. The knife costs 30 thousand, and six cartridges are 1 thousand each, totaling 36 thousand.
All three have been detained in connection with unlawful possession of firearms. An investigation is ongoing to determine why the suspect possessed this illegal weapon, for whom it was intended, or if he was planning to use it himself, stated Senior Police Inspector Audumbar Patil.
