Mumbai: A bomb threat has been issued to the Esplanade Court, popularly known as Killa Court, in South Mumbai. Following the threat, police and security agencies immediately swung into action and conducted a thorough search of the court premises. Bomb detection and disposal squads, along with dog squad, were deployed to inspect the area.

According to officials, the caller claimed that a bomb had been planted inside the court and would explode shortly. Following the receipt of the threat email, authorities immediately alerted the local police station as well as the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS).

A comprehensive search operation was subsequently carried out across the court complex by police and bomb disposal personnel. However, no suspicious object or explosive material was found during the inspection.

Police have launched an investigation to trace the source of the threat and identify the person responsible for sending the email. Security in and around the court premises has been tightened as a precautionary measure.
