Mumbai: The city of dreams is set to experience overcast weather with moderate rainfall throughout the day. According to the latest update by IMD, the monsoon remains active in the state, with ongoing rains in Mumbai and Konkan. However, rain intensity is expected to decrease slightly on July 1.

Mumbai is experiencing light rain at 28°C as of 9 AM, with 55% precipitation and 81% humidity. Wind speed is 23 km/h. Tuesday’s weather will maintain temperatures around 28°C with light rain. Future forecasts predict rain on Wednesday (28°/27°), scattered thunderstorms on Thursday (28°/27°), rain on Friday (29°/27°), heavy rain on Saturday (29°/27°), rain on Sunday (29°/27°), and a heavy thunderstorm on Monday (29°/27°). A yellow alert for heavy rain is issued in Konkan.

In Mumbai, cloudy conditions persisted, with possible light showers developing post-noon and some areas experiencing thunder. Waterlogging in low-lying areas is unlikely, though citizens are advised to stay alert.

Palghar district has seen substantial rainfall over the last two days, leading to water accumulation in several areas. Thane and Navi Mumbai are also experiencing cloudy weather, with light to moderate rain expected after noon, particularly in the evening. Thunder and lightning could occur in Thane East, Kalwa, Mumbra, and parts of Navi Mumbai, including Ghansoli and Belapur.

Moisture levels have increased, facilitating agricultural activities. The forecast for Palghar indicates continued light to moderate rain, with potential heavy showers in some areas today.
