Mumbai Police Trace 4 Minor Boys Missing From Malvani Madrasa To Ajmer, All Found Safe

Mumbai: Mumbai Police successfully traced four minor boys who went missing from a madrasa in Malvani, locating them in Ajmer, Rajasthan. The boys, aged 12, 13, 15 and 16, were found safe with the help of the Ajmer Police and are currently in protective custody. Authorities confirmed that further questioning will be conducted to determine the circumstances of their disappearance.

Boys Missing Since 4 Days

The four boys had been living at the Malvani-based madrasa for over a year, pursuing religious education. Their sudden disappearance was reported on Tuesday, July 8, in the evening after they failed to return to the premises by 7:30 pm. A concerned teacher (maulvi) from the madrasa alerted the local police, leading the registration of a missing persons complaint at the Malvani police station.

Over 100 CCTVs Scanned To Trace Missing Boys

Mumbai Police immediately launched a multi-team investigation. Over 100 CCTV cameras from around the madrasa and nearby routes were scanned to trace the movements of the boys. Based on the footage and technical inputs, authorities were able to piece together a possible travel route that eventually led them to Ajmer.

During the investigation, police teams also conducted extensive searches at railway stations, bus terminals and religious locations across the city and nearby regions. Cops questioned madrasa staff, classmates, family members and friends in an attempt to gather any clues that could explain the boys’ departure.

Officials have stated that the boys appeared to have left the madrasa on their own, although the exact motive remains unclear. No evidence of foul play or abduction has been established so far. Police are now working to understand whether the move was spontaneous or influenced by an external source.

The swift coordination between Mumbai Police and Ajmer Police has been credited for the safe recovery of the minors. Authorities have assured that the boys will be provided appropriate care and counseling, and their families have been informed of their safety.
