Mumbai: A sessions court has convicted a 48-year-old woman attached to the railway police and her friend for creating a ruckus in Charkop police station in February 2020. The court sentenced both to one year imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 2,000.
About The Incident
The incident occurred when the woman, allegedly aggrieved over the handling of her rape complaint, barged into the senior police inspector's cabin, manhandled him, and threatened to set the police station on fire. The court observed that the woman's actions were unauthorized and caused disturbance and obstruction in official work.
