Mumbai: Crime Branch Seizes MD Drugs Worth ₹10 Crore In Dadar Hotel Raid, 2 Govandi Residents Arrested
The Mumbai Crime Branch’s Unit 9 conducted a raid at a hotel in the Dadar area, seizing MD drugs worth ₹10 crore. Two accused, identified as Senul Julum Sheikh (28) and Jhangir Shah Alam Sheikh (29), both residents of Govandi, have been arrested in connection with the case.

Mumbai: The Mumbai Crime Branch’s Unit 9 conducted a raid at a hotel in the Dadar area, seizing MD drugs worth ₹10 crore. Two accused, identified as Senul Julum Sheikh (28) and Jhangir Shah Alam Sheikh (29), both residents of Govandi, have been arrested in connection with the case.
According to senior officials of the Mumbai Crime Branch, Unit 9 received a tip-off about a major drug deal set to take place in a room at the Summer Land Hotel in Dadar.
Acting on the information, a team led by Senior Police Inspector Dayanayak devised a plan and booked a room in the hotel two days before the raid. On Wednesday night, as soon as the accused arrived at the hotel with the MD drugs, informants confirmed their presence, and the police conducted the raid at around 10:30 PM.
During the operation, Crime Branch officials seized MD drugs worth ₹10 crore and arrested the two accused on the spot. Investigations are currently underway to trace the source of the drugs and identify the intended recipients. Further inquiries into the case are ongoing.
