Mumbai: The Oshiwara police have registered an FIR against a couple for allegedly cheating a businessman of Rs1 crore. The couple – interior decorator Shantanu Parab and his wife, Pranali – convinced the victim Rohan Hegde to invest in a fake bungalow project in Lonavala, promising substantial profits.

Between December 2021 and March 2022, Hegde transferred Rs1 crore to Shantanu Parab’s account.

However, after multiple failed attempts to get a formal agreement, Hegde came to know that the project was fake, and the landowner was an imposter. Hegde filed a complaint, and police officials are investigating the case further.
