Mumbai: Central Railway Announces Traffic And Power Block At Karjat For Yard Modification On January 5

Central Railway will operate special traffic and power blocks to facilitate the offloading of portals at Karjat station as part of the Karjat yard modification project.

Block Details:

Date of Block: January 5, 2025 (Sunday)

Duration of Block: 11:20 a.m. to 1:05 p.m.

Traffic Block Section: UP, DOWN, and Mid lines between Bhivpuri Road and Palasdhari stations (excluding crossovers).

Impact on Suburban Train Services:

Suburban services between Neral and Khopoli will remain cancelled during the block period.

Trains heading to Karjat, departing CSMT from 9:30 a.m. to 11:14 a.m., will be short-terminated at Neral.

Trains heading to CSMT, departing Karjat from 11:19 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., will short-originate from Neral.

Impact on Long-Distance Train Services:

Train no. 11014 Coimbatore-LTT Express will be diverted via the Karjat-Panvel route and will halt at Panvel for passengers wishing to detrain at Kalyan.

These maintenance mega blocks are essential for infrastructure upkeep and passenger safety. The Railway Administration requests passengers to bear with them for any inconvenience caused.
