Mumbai Accident: 45-Year-Old Biker Killed In Head-On Collision With Overspeeding Car Near St Stephen's Church In Bandra West
A 45-year-old bike-borne man was killed after a head-on collision with a car, said the police, adding that both the vehicles were overspeeding. The fatal mishap occurred near St Stephen's Church in Bandra West on Sunday around 11.15pm.

Mumbai: A 45-year-old bike-borne man was killed after a head-on collision with a car, said the police, adding that both the vehicles were overspeeding. The fatal mishap occurred near St Stephen's Church in Bandra West on Sunday around 11.15pm.
The unidentified victim got trapped under the car’s right rear wheel, sustaining multiple injuries, said the FIR. A bystander alerted the police, who arrived at the scene and took the man to Bhabha Hospital where he was declared dead. The accused has been identified as Joravarsingh Sachdev, 40, a businessman from Pune.

A police officer said, “We have issued a notice to the car driver after registering the case. Efforts are on to ascertain the identity of the deceased.” His relative, who lives out of state, is expected to arrive in Mumbai. Neither the car driver nor the deceased was intoxicated, the officer added.
