Mumbai Accident: 39-Year-Old Traffic Warden Dies After Falling Off Coastal Road Bridge While Chasing Tempo
A traffic warden was killed on the Coastal Road on Saturday around 5 p.m. The deceased was working as a traffic warden at Dharamveer Sambhajiraje Coastal Road, Mumbai, opposite Tata Garden. A tempo was heading from the Coastal Road towards Tata Garden and on to Worli.

Mumbai: A traffic warden was killed on the Coastal Road on Saturday around 5 p.m. The deceased was working as a traffic warden at Dharamveer Sambhajiraje Coastal Road, Mumbai, opposite Tata Garden.
A tempo was heading from the Coastal Road towards Tata Garden and on to Worli. In response, the traffic warden began following the tempo on his scooter in an attempt to stop it. However, the tempo continued moving ahead.
According to the police, while chasing the tempo on the winding bridge along the Coastal Road, the traffic warden lost control of his scooter, collided with the cement wall on the bridge, and fell into the sea. Information about the incident was received shortly afterwards.
The injured traffic warden was rescued with the help of the fire brigade and immediately rushed to Kamal Nair Hospital for treatment. However, he was declared dead at 5:46 p.m., before admission, by the medical officer at Nair Hospital.

The deceased was identified as Raffiq Vajeer Sheikh, aged 39. The Gamdevi Police Station has filed an Accidental Death Report (ADR). Further investigation into this unnatural death is being carried out by the Police.
