Mira-Bhayandar: Thanks to apathy of contractors appointed by the Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation (MBMC) to lay underground water pipelines, lakhs of tax-payers money spent on the construction of bus shelters is going down the trains.

One such bus shelter near the S.K. Stone junction in Mira Road has been reduced to a mangled heap of steel due to avoidable strikes by JCB machines during excavation work, leaving commuters to endure the scorching heat while waiting for buses as no alternative arrangements have been facilitated by the civic administration.
