Mira-Bhayandar Crime: Man Under ‘Panchakarma’ Treatment Robbed Of ₹17 Lakh Valuables; Caretaker Arrested
According to the police, they received a complaint from the businessman who has been identified as-Pradeep Gupta stating that he had gone for panchkarma treatment at an Ayurveda clinic in Nallasopara on 25, February.

Less than 48 hours after he fled the city after robbing a 45-year-old businessman of valuables worth more than Rs.17 lakh, the caretaker was arrested by the Nallasopara police. According to the police, they received a complaint from the businessman who has been identified as-Pradeep Gupta stating that he had gone for panchkarma treatment at an Ayurveda clinic in Nallasopara on 25, February.
As instructed he removed his valuables including-cash, i-phone, Rolex wristwatch and gold ornaments- collectively worth more than Rs.17 lakh in a room at the clinic. However, the valuables and his caretaker -Rakesh Pandey (32) went missing. A team under the supervision of senior police inspector started investigations into the case and found out that Pandey hailed from Gaya in Bihar. The team immediately activated their electronic surveillance and learnt that he was travelling in a train headed to Bihar. They contacted their railway counterparts who apprehended Pandey as the train reached Khandwa railway station in Madhya Pradesh.
