Mumbai: The Maharashtra administration headed by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, has cancelled endorsement for 903 development projects in the state has been revoked. These consist of initiatives that have been halted for the past few years and have seen no advancements.
This choice has been communicated via the Soil and Water Conservation Department. These consist of various initiatives such as minor irrigation projects, primary seepage dams, seepage reservoirs, and repair projects for storage ponds. The execution of these plans had been halted for the past three years.
These projects were unable to proceed because of challenges in securing land, resistance from local residents, and lack of cooperation from certain contractors. Consequently, the government has opted to revoke their administrative approval directly rather than extend more time for these schemes. This choice will assist in stopping the misuse of funds and will also open the door for new initiatives.
