Maharashtra Deputy CM Eknath Shinde Launches Initiatives For MSRTC Revival, Including World-Class Bus Ports And Healthcare For Employees
Speaking at the inauguration of a renovated air-conditioned driver-conductor rest house at Khopat bus station, Shinde emphasized the government's goal of transforming MSRTC into a "five-star" transportation service.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has called upon Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) employees to adopt the philosophy of "Passenger service is divine service" to aid in the organization's revival. He assured them that the government is committed to ensuring their health and well-being.
Speaking at the inauguration of a renovated air-conditioned driver-conductor rest house at Khopat bus station, Shinde emphasized the government's goal of transforming MSRTC into a "five-star" transportation service. He highlighted plans for innovative public-private partnerships to provide passengers with world-class bus ports.
The government has also undertaken a ₹500 crore project to concretize 191 bus station areas, aiming for pothole-free bus stations.

Shinde directed the MSRTC administration to construct air-conditioned, clean, and well-maintained rest houses in every depot to ensure that drivers and conductors can rest without stress after their duties. He expressed satisfaction with the renovated rest house at Khopat and suggested implementing this model across the state.
Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik announced plans to establish 100-bed cashless hospitals in every depot through public-private partnerships to care for MSRTC employees and their families. This initiative is set to launch on Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's birthday. These hospitals will offer various medical services free of charge to MSRTC employees and will also benefit passengers and the general public in the vicinity.
