Mumbai: A massive fire broke out in a unit at Azad Wadi Chawl in Mumbai’s Kandivali area, civic officials reported on Wednesday. Firefighters were actively working to control the blaze.

According to officials, the fire started around 6:10 PM at a gala in Damu Nagar, Thakur Village, Kandivali (East).

Upon receiving the alert, the Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) promptly dispatched teams to the location to begin firefighting operations.

The fire was categorized as a Level I (minor fire), and three fire engines were sent to the site on the spot. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported so far.
