Independence Day 2025: BMC Opens 5.25-Km Coastal Road Promenade From Priyadarshini Park To Haji Ali And Baroda Palace To Worli For Public
On the occasion of the 79th Independence Day on Friday, the newly constructed promenade from Priyadarshini Park to Haji Ali and Baroda Palace to Worli, along the Coastal Road in south Mumbai was thrown open for public.

Mumbai: On the occasion of the 79th Independence Day on Friday, the newly constructed promenade from Priyadarshini Park to Haji Ali and Baroda Palace to Worli, along the Coastal Road in south Mumbai was thrown open for public.
The 5.25-km promenade with serene view, which will eventually extend to 7.5 km, includes a dedicated cycle track and pedestrian-friendly facilities. It was virtually inaugurated by CM Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday.

The BMC had announced that the 5.25 km long promenade will be thrown open to public from 4.30 pm on Friday. Work on the remaining 2.5 km is expected to finish within 18 months.
Alongwith this, the Coastal Road will be now open 24/7 for traffic movement. Until now, the road was operational 7 am to midnight.
