Commuters traveling on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway are advised to plan their journeys carefully as a three-day traffic block has been scheduled for construction work. The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) will be installing girders for a new bridge at Kilometer 58/500 (Dongargaon/Kusgaon) on the Mumbai-bound carriageway.
The traffic block will be in effect from January 22 to January 24, 2025, between 12 PM and 3 PM each day. During this period, traffic heading from Mumbai to Pune will be diverted from Kilometer 54/700 at Walvan to the Varsoli Toll Plaza via the Dehu Road route (National Highway No. 48).
Similarly, traffic traveling from Pune to Mumbai will continue to use the expressway without any changes. After 3:00 PM each day, traffic on the Mumbai-Pune carriageway will resume as usual.
