On this auspicious day, devotees should wake up early in the morning and take a bath before sunrise. Clean your house with Ganga Jal (holy water) and put the idol of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi in it. Offer sandalwood paste and flowers to Lord Vishnu, Lakshmi, and Kubera. One can perform the Madhusudhana ritual along with Tulsi Archana and also chant the Sri Vishnu Sahasranaamam Stotra.
