Madhya Pradesh: 26-Year-Old Woman Hangs Self To Death In Mandleshwar

Mandleshwar (Madhya Pradesh): A 26-year-old woman hanged herself at her home in Mogawan village near Mandleshwar on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Nikita Patidar. The incident occurred during afternoon when her husband, Aniket Patidar was attending a wedding. Nikita was suffering from a lump in her uterus, which she had treated in Gujarat.

After her treatment, she often felt depressed and did not talk much to anyone. At the time of the incident, her in-laws were also away visiting relatives in Maheshwar. When Aniket returned home around 3 pm, he found the door locked.

After knocking for a long time without response, he broke the door with the help of neighbours. Inside, he discovered Nikita hanging in the bedroom with a sari tied to the ceiling. He immediately called Mandleshwar police.

The police and a forensic team investigated the scene. Nikita's parents, Omprakash and Usha Chaudhary from Itarsi, arrived the next morning. A post-mortem was conducted and her last rites were held. Police station in-charge Deepak Yadav confirmed that the body was handed over to her family and an investigation is underway.
