Indore’s Gang Busted For Selling Rented Cars; Three Arrested

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The Palasia police busted a gang involved in renting four-wheelers and fraudulently selling or mortgaging them for profit and arrested three people, police said on Monday.
The accused allegedly revealed that they stole the vehicles for personal trips and parties before mortgaging them in Amritsar, Punjab. The accused used to take rental cars under the pretense of traveling or partying and then illegally sold or mortgaged them for financial gain.
According to the police, Priyal Anil Patidar lodged a complaint on October 19, 2024, stating that he hired a man named Manish Kushwaha as a personal driver. On the occasion of Navratri, Manish requested permission to take Priyal’s XUV (registration number MP09DQ6289) for cleaning and other necessary work.
However, he stole the vehicle and made fake documents to deceive the owner. During the investigation, police analysed CCTV footage and technical evidence which led to the identification and arrest of three accused: Manish Dandotiya, Suraj alias Bhura Raghuvanshi and Hemant Sen.
During interrogation, the accused allegedly confessed to committing the crime and revealed that they stole the vehicle for personal trips and parties before mortgaging it in Amritsar, Punjab. The mastermind Hemant Sen was responsible for mortgaging the XUV car. Based on his disclosure, the police recovered the stolen car (MP09DQ6289) and another XUV car.
