Indore Woman On The Run For Fraud & Forgery Held From Raipur
She had blackmailed the then Alirajpur excise officer and was evading cops for last three years

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Bhanwarkuan police arrested an on-the-run woman from Raipur in connection with a case of forgery and fraud, police said on Tuesday.
The woman, identified as Farhat Nazneen, had falsely accused the then Alirajpur excise officer Vinay Rangshahi after blackmailing him with the intent of extorting money by creating fake documents, including a fraudulent marriage certificate (Nikahnama), in 2021.
The woman had been evading the police for the last three years. She had been hiding at her brother-in-law's and sister’s place in Raipur for an extended period. Recently, the police received information about her whereabouts and arrested her. A bounty of Rs 5,000 had also been announced for her arrest.
In 2021, Farhat Nazneen, with the intent to extort money from the excise officer, created fake documents, including a fraudulent marriage certificate (Nikahnama), to blackmail him. When Vinay Rangshahi refused to pay, Nazneen lodged a false FIR against him, which was later dismissed following a police investigation.
Based on the forged documents presented in the earlier false complaint, the police registered a case against Farhat Nazneen and her brother Imran Khan under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471, and 120B of the IPC in 2021. In October 2023, Imran Khan was arrested by the police from the Balaghat district.
