Indore Metro Rail Likely To Commence Operations By January-End; Gandhi Nagar To Super Corridor In 1st Phase

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Metro service in Indore is likely to commence from January-end 2025. In the first phase, the metro will only run for 5.9 km on the super corridor. It is expected that the Metro Rail Management will start operations with only five to six metro coaches.
What was more exciting was that citizens would be able to experience the metro services only at the cost of ₹10. It is speculated that the passengers will be able to travel from Gandhi Nagar station to Super Corridor Station No. 3. (6km) at this cost. Moreover, the passengers will be able to travel for free in the initial phase.
The metro stations will be equipped with basic facilities such as chairs, CCTV cameras, drinking water and toilet, display board giving information about the arrival and departure of the train, lift, escalators, ticket counter and special arrangements for visually impaired.
The timings of the metro trains have still not been decided. The decision will be taken based on the footfall.
Metro services will be extended to Radisson Square by July 2025
The metro services from Gandhinagar Depot to Radisson Square will begin by July 2025. The residents will be able to travel by Metro from the Super Corridor to Radisson Square.
Inspection of metro coaches
The team of Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) of Delhi will visit Indore for an inspection of metro coaches in the second week of January.
