Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A labourer working on a mixer machine was electrocuted while two others were injured at a construction site in Jhalaria under Kanadiya police station limits on Thursday.
According to the police, the deceased, identified as Narayan Baghel, a resident of Jirapur, his brother-in-law Kamal and another worker Dhansingh were working when an electric current spread through the mixer machine.
Narayan was electrocuted while the others sustained severe injuries.
His family members alleged foul play, saying that someone intentionally ran the electric current through the machine as part of a conspiracy. They claimed that Narayan’s wife had left for her maternal home after their marriage, leading to conflicts between Narayan and his brother-in-law.
They said the in-laws could have plotted to kill him by making it appear as an accident.
However, the Kanadiya police denied such claims, saying that preliminary investigation did not find any evidence indicating that it was not an accident. However, the police were investigating every angle to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident, they said.
