'Will Eliminate Naxalism By 2026': Home Minister Amit Shah Says It Is The Biggest Threat During PC In Chhattisgarh; Watch VIDEO

Raipur: Union Home Minister Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday addressed a press conference over the issue of naxalism which the country is facing, during his three-day visit to Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Amit Shah addressed the press conference after he chaired the interstate anti-Naxal review meeting. Amit Shah arrived in Chhattisgarh on Friday (August 23) and was welcomed by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and other BJP leaders of the state.

Amit Shah has claimed that the new government formed in Chhattisgarh has worked efficiently to work against the issue of naxalism. He also claimed that BJP will eliminate the issue of naxalism from the entire by March 2026.

He also said that around 17,000 people have been killed in naxal attacks, including the security personnel over the past 40 years and stated that it is the biggest threat to the nation. He also claimed that 14 top naxal leaders have been eliminated in the country and the NDA government will eliminate the issue of naxalism from the entire country till 2026.

Amit Shah said that since Narendra Modi government has come to power, it has accepted the challenge and have been working to bring the Naxalites, who carry weapons, back into society.

He also highlighted that the focus is on fully implementing Central and Chhattisgarh government schemes in Naxal-affected areas, improving infrastructure projects there and overcoming any challenges faced during these projects.
