Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra, known for her firebrand political presence, recently entered a new chapter in her personal life as she tied the knot with senior advocate and ex-BJD parliamentarian Pinaki Misra in an intimate wedding ceremony held in Germany.
Recently, Moitra shared a heartwarming video of herself dancing with Misra, which has now gone viral on social media.
The widely shared clip shows the couple swaying to soft music, visibly lost in the moment. Moitra, dressed in a traditional pink Banarasi silk saree with gold zari work, complemented the look with a choker, jhumkas, maang tikka and a sleek centre-parted hairstyle. The makeup was soft and understated, in sharp contrast to her fiery parliamentary persona.

On the other hand, Pinaki Misra was seen in a light peach Nehru jacket layered over a traditional kurta, matching the understated elegance of the ceremony.
Moitra had earlier shared the video on her social media status, prompting a flood of congratulatory messages from across party lines and among the public.
Born on 12 October 1974 in Assam, Moitra has had a dynamic journey, from investment banking in New York and London to the benches of Indian Parliament. A Mount Holyoke College alumna with a Magna Cum Laude in Economics and Mathematics, she entered politics with TMC in 2010 and has since become one of the party’s most prominent voices. Though her first term as MP ended controversially with a disqualification over “cash-for-query” allegations, she has remained a strong and articulate critic of the BJP-led Centre.
