Truck Driver Threatens Suicide Alleging Bribe Demand | X
Telangana, February 16: A lorry owner, Anil Goud, staged a dramatic protest in front of the Peddapalli RTO office, alleging that transport officials were harassing him for bribes. He climbed onto his lorry and threatened to grab live electric wires in an attempt to kill himself in front of the RTO office. The entire incident was caught on camera and the video of the incident is doing rounds on social media. It can be seen in the video that the lorry driver is threatening to kill himself by catching live wires on top of his lorry. He is also seen throwing cash in anger from top of his lorry.
Allegations Against RTO Officials
Anil Goud claimed that RTO officials were demanding a monthly bribe of ₹8,000 from each lorry owner. Since he refused to pay, he alleged that the officials filed a false case against his vehicle. He stated that despite having all the necessary documents, his lorry was seized unfairly.
Suicide Attempt and Protest
Frustrated by the situation, Anil Goud climbed onto his lorry and attempted suicide, demanding justice. He questioned why a case was filed against him even though he had valid documents.
