A Dalit man’s head was shaved and he was paraded around a village in UP’s Fatehpur by Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad activists. According to reports, the man was also forced to chant ‘Jai Shri Ram.’
Reports suggested that Bajrang Dal accused the man of converting to Christianity and coercing others to do the same.
A video of the incident has now surfaced on social media, showing the man being paraded around the village with a saffron scarf around his neck as the crowd accompanying him raised religious slogans.

Further, the man was taken to a nearby temple where he was allegedly made to return to Hinduism by performing a puja.
Local police have stated that action will be taken against the culprits once a formal complaint is received.
Villagers informed Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad about the Dalit youth's conversion to Christianity. In response, members of the Hindu organisations reached the village and raised objections against the conversion.
When the man protested, his head was shaved. Two youths forcibly held him and paraded him around the village, surrounded by a crowd.
