Uttar Pradesh News: CM Yogi Adityanath Pays Tribute To Former PM Chaudhary Charan Singh On Death Anniversary, Honors His Legacy In Rural Development
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid tribute to former Prime Minister and farmer leader Chaudhary Charan Singh on his death anniversary on Thursday. The Chief Minister garlanded the late leader’s statue located in front of the Vidhan Bhavan complex in Lucknow.

Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid tribute to former Prime Minister and farmer leader Chaudhary Charan Singh on his death anniversary on Thursday. The Chief Minister garlanded the late leader’s statue located in front of the Vidhan Bhavan complex in Lucknow.
CM Yogi described Chaudhary Charan Singh as a pioneer of land reforms and the architect of the land ceiling law, stating that the country continues to remember his work in rural development and agrarian policy.
He noted that as Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and later in central roles, including Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, and head of the Home and Finance Ministries where he implemented key reforms that continue to influence rural governance.
Referring to him as a “messiah of farmers,” the Chief Minister said that Chaudhary Sahab’s policies brought lasting change to village-level development and equitable land distribution.
Other attendees at the event included Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, Cabinet Ministers Swatantra Dev Singh and Jaiveer Singh, Lucknow Mayor Sushma Kharkwal, and Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh.
