Lucknow: A late night confrontation turned fatal at a hotel in Lucknow when a young man shot and killed a hotel worker following a dispute. The incident took place around 1 AM at Hotel Ishan Inn in Vikalp Khand.
According to the police, the accused, identified as Akash Tiwari from Ayodhya, arrived at the hotel to meet a woman staying there. An argument broke out between Akash and hotel staff member Diwakar Yadav.
Shortly after, Akash opened fire outside the hotel, shooting Diwakar in the neck. The victim was rushed to Lohia Hospital, where he was declared dead. Police have detained both Akash and the woman, who reportedly called him to the hotel.
Hotel owner Udaysen Yadav stated that the woman had been staying at the hotel for five days and appeared intoxicated during the incident. He claimed both the woman and the accused were under the influence of alcohol.

Diwakar, originally from Sultanpur, had been working at the hotel for four months. His family, unaware of his hotel job, were informed only after the shooting. Investigations revealed the motive stemmed from a dispute over a comment allegedly made by Diwakar. An FIR has been registered, and a forensic investigation is underway.
