UP News: CM Yogi Unveils Youth Entrepreneurship Schemes, ODOP Projects On MSME Day

On the occasion of World MSME Day, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a range of initiatives to strengthen youth entrepreneurship and promote traditional industries. Speaking at a grand ceremony at Lok Bhawan, the CM said previous governments had fuelled caste-based conflicts and ignored youth and entrepreneurs, but his administration is committed to talent-based opportunities.

He also inaugurated ODOP Common Facility Centers (CFCs) worth ₹18 crore in Bareilly and Moradabad. These projects, part of the One District One Product (ODOP) scheme, aim to provide global exposure to local crafts and equal footing to artisans from all communities.
Highlighting the economic transformation, CM Yogi shared that UP’s GDP has risen from ₹12.75 lakh crore in 2017 to ₹31 lakh crore, and exports have grown to ₹2 lakh crore. Per capita income has nearly tripled to ₹1.2 lakh.

Under Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan, over 55,000 youth have received interest-free loans of ₹5 lakh, with a 10% government subsidy. The Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana has empowered 1 lakh traditional artisans with toolkits and affordable loans. CM Yogi also announced the third edition of the International Trade Show, to be held in Greater Noida in September, showcasing products crafted by UP’s artisans.
In closing, the CM reiterated that Uttar Pradesh is advancing as a major contributor to India’s economy by ensuring inclusive growth and equal opportunities. He asserted that 77 products from the state have received GI tags, and 75 more applications are in process to protect and promote traditional crafts from all commnities.
