UP: 4 Women Teacher Among 5 Killed After Tree Falls On Govt Operated Bus In Barabanki
After the incident, villagers rushed to the scene after hearing the screams of the passengers. Authorities have confirmed the deaths of four women and the bus driver.

Five people, including four women teachers, were killed after a tree fell on a government-run bus on Haidergarh Road in Uttar Pradesh's Barabanki on Friday.
According to reports, the tree fell on the front part of the bus carrying approximately 40 passengers, due to heavy rain. After the incident, several passengers jumped out of the bus, whilst others were taken out after cutting the fallen tree. The rescue operation was hindered due to rain.
According to a report from Amar Ujala, a Hindi daily, the incident occurred around 10:30 am on Friday, when the bus was travelling to Haidergarh from Barabanki. The bus met with an accident near Raja Bazar in Harakh village under Jaidpur Police Station.

According to media reports, 17 passengers sustained injuries in the accident. The injured were taken to the district hospital for treatment.
The deceased teachers were travelling to attend a training session organised by the NCERT, and were sitting on the front seats of the bus.
