Saurashtra Express Derails At Kim Station Near Surat, No Casualties Reported

The Dadar-Porbandar Saurashtra Express derailed on Tuesday, December 24, at Kim station, located near Surat in Gujarat. The incident occurred at approximately 3:32 PM as the train was departing from the station.
At least four wheels of a non-passenger coach (VPU), positioned directly behind the engine, went off the tracks. Fortunately, no injuries to passengers or railway staff have been reported so far, according to railway officials.
"Despite the derailment, train services in the area remained unaffected," an official said. The Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of the Western Railway confirmed that senior officers and technical teams promptly reached the site to oversee the restoration process.
