London To Amritsar & Delhi To Paris Air India Flights Cancelled

After the Ahmedabad to London Air India flight, the airline cancelled the two more flights on Tuesday. AI 170, scheduled to operate from London Gatwick to Amritsar and AI 143 from Delhi to Paris, stand cancelled.

Earlier, the airline had announced the cancellation of another flight from Ahmedabad to Gatwick.

According to reports, the Ahmedabad-London flight was cancelled due to aircraft unavailability, caused by airspace restrictions and additional precautionary checks.

Meanwhile, the Airline spokesperson in a statement said, "Flight AI143 from Delhi to Paris of 17 June has been cancelled. The mandatory pre-flight checks identified an issue which is being presently addressed. However, in view of the flight coming under the restrictions on night operations at Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) airport, the said flight has been cancelled."

"We are providing hotel accommodation and also offering full refunds on cancellations or complimentary rescheduling if opted by the passengers. Consequently, flight AI142 from Paris to Delhi on June 18, 2025 also stands cancelled," it added.

This marks the third disruption to an Air India service between Ahmedabad and London, coming just days after the catastrophic crash of flight AI171 on 12 June which claimed 241 lives. The ill-fated Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner had departed from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport before plunging onto the BJ Medical College campus and erupting in flames.

Adding to concerns about the airline's operational readiness, another Air India flight was cancelled on Monday, 16 June when crew scheduling breaches exceeded permitted working hours.

Tuesday's cancellation forms part of a troubling pattern of incidents involving the carrier. Earlier the same day, a San Francisco-Mumbai service was compelled to disembark passengers in Kolkata following engine troubles, while an Air India Express flight from Delhi to Ranchi aborted its journey shortly after departure due to suspected technical faults.
