A truck has been stuck in a ditch at Gurugram's Southern Peripheral Road since Wednesday night. The ditch was reportedly formed when a part of the road caved in while the truck was travelling on it.

Gurugram: Heavy rains lashed Gurugram over the past few hours, throwing normal life out of gear. A truck has been stuck in a ditch at Gurugram's Southern Peripheral Road since Wednesday night. The ditch was reportedly formed when a part of the road caved in while the truck was travelling on it.
The video of the truck stuck in the pit surfaced online. The entire area has been cordoned off.
Between 7:00 pm on July 9 and 7:00 am on July 10, the city recorded 133 mm of rain, with a staggering 103 mm falling in just a 90-minute window between 7:30 pm and 9:00 pm. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an Orange Alert for Gurugram.
In the wake of heavy showers, the district administration also issued a work from home advisory for all corporate offices and private institutions. "In view of the above, all corporate offices and private institutions in the district are advised to guide their employees to work from home on July 10 so the traffic congestion can be avoided," the advisory read.
