Dramatic Chase Caught On Camera: Kidnapping Suspect Dodges Sanitation Workers In His Escape From Police Custody In UP's Pilibhit

Dramatic CCTV footage has emerged showing police chasing a kidnapping suspect who escaped from custody.

The clip shows the suspect, Sohil, sprinting down an alleyway as two sanitation workers – one armed with a broom – attempt to stop him. He evades them and continues running, with officers following in pursuit.

According to reports, Sohil had been brought to the police station for questioning in connection with a kidnapping case. During the interrogation, he asked to use the toilet but fled when given the opportunity. The escape triggered a chase through the streets, involving police, sanitation workers and bystanders.

The suspect was eventually recaptured. ASP Vikram Dahiya confirmed that Sohil is back in custody and that an inquiry has been launched into the conduct of the officers on duty.

"An investigation has also been initiated against the police officers in this case, in which strict action will be taken against the guilty police personnel," he said.
