A team of Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials, who arrived at the residence of Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP's) national convener Arvind Kejriwal to probe his 'poaching claims,' served a notice to the former Delhi CM seeking details on Friday.
ACB officials left Kejriwal's residence one and a half hours after they arrived. AAP legal cell head Sanjeev Nasiar told news agency PTI that ACB officials had come without any notice.
"They neither had the notice nor the stamp. When we told them that they could question us legally and we were ready to cooperate with them, they took 1.5 hours to serve the notice to us. They have given us the notice, which does not have details about the complainant and has details only about Arvind Kejriwal's tweet (X post)," he said.
Meanwhile, AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh has stated that he would lodge a complaint regarding the 'poaching' attempt on party candidates by the BJP and wants the matter to be investigated.
Speaking to media on Friday, Sanjay Singh said, "BJP is the most corrupt party in the country. BJP always believes in breaking other parties... BJP toppled governments in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Arunachal Pradesh. Do we need a certificate from them that they are not dishonest... We have complained about this and demanded an inquiry. After our allegations, Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva went to Delhi LG and he has written a letter to AC... I have come to lodge a complaint and want an inquiry into it. I have given the phone number from which AAP leader Mukesh Kumar Ahlawat was contacted."
