Around – 1000 security forces jawans engaged in the joint operation conducted includes COBRA, CRPF, DRG, Special Operation Group (SOG) from Odisha.
Bodies of more than 14 Naxals recovered including 2 uniform women Naxal cadres.

Chalpati (60) alias Jairam Reddy alias Ramchandra Reddy alias Appa Rao having bounty Rs 1 Crore killed in the encounter. He was a resident of Matampalli, Chittoor District, Andhra Pradesh. The Highest qualification he gained was 10th only.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai More than one dozen of Naxals got killed in the encounter held in Kulhari ghat area of Gariyaband.
