Chhattisgarh: Over 14 Naxals Killed, Including 2 Women, In Joint Operation By Security Forces In Gariyaband

Around – 1000 security forces jawans engaged in the joint operation conducted includes COBRA, CRPF, DRG, Special Operation Group (SOG) from Odisha.

Bodies of more than 14 Naxals recovered including 2 uniform women Naxal cadres.

Encounter occurred in the jungles of Kulhari Ghat, Bhalu Diggi area of Mainpur, Gariyaband shares borders with Nuapada, Odisha. The site of the encounter falls under Mainpur police station limits.

Chalpati (60) alias Jairam Reddy alias Ramchandra Reddy alias Appa Rao having bounty Rs 1 Crore killed in the encounter. He was a resident of Matampalli, Chittoor District, Andhra Pradesh. The Highest qualification he gained was 10th only.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai More than one dozen of Naxals got killed in the encounter held in Kulhari ghat area of Gariyaband.
