Chhattisgarh News: IT Raids On RAMA Group, Bastar Chamber President Shyam Somani Over Alleged Tax Evasion
Income Tax Department sleuths reportedly carried out raids at locations in Chhattisgarh including businesses, offices and residential premises of three big business men including premises of Bastar Chamber of Commerce President Shyam Somani, Rama Steel and Rama Udyog Group.

Raipur: Income Tax Department sleuths reportedly carried out raids at locations in Chhattisgarh including businesses, offices and residential premises of three big business men including premises of Bastar Chamber of Commerce President Shyam Somani, Rama Steel and Rama Udyog Group. The raids were conducted in Jagdalpur, and capital city Raipur.
Raids were conducted on the basis of serious complaints of massive tax evasion by the owners of these business houses. As per the information received, one IT team conducted a raid at the Jagdalpur residence and office of builder Shyam Somani in the Tuesday morning hours.
Notably, Shyam Somani is the president of Bastar Chamber of Commerce. He owns a BMS construction company in Bastar. He has also been a former president of Bastar Mandi. He is one of the big traders of forest produce like tamarind, mahua.
Meanwhile, RAMA builder is big name in the real estate sector of Chhattisgarh. However, in the case IT has not made any official statement yet.
