BJP Leader Rohit Saini Murders Wife In Ajmer At Girlfriend’s Insistence; Both Arrested After Failed Robbery Cover-Up

Ajmer: BJP leader Rohit Saini has been arrested for murdering his wife Sanju at the insistence of his long-time girlfriend, Ritu Saini.

The killing, carried out on August 10 in Rajasthan's Ajmer, was initially staged as a robbery before the police unravelled the conspiracy within a day.

What the Investigation Revealed

Sanju was discovered dead under suspicious circumstances on August 10. Rohit Saini, in his first statement, alleged that robbers had killed his wife and escaped with valuables. However, investigators quickly noticed contradictions in his account. “Police have also arrested Rohit Saini’s girlfriend, Ritu Saini,” confirmed. Additional SP Rural Deepak Kumar, who credited the swift breakthrough to intensive questioning.

The inconsistencies soon led to a confession. Rohit admitted that he himself had killed his wife and that the act was not random but part of a premeditated plan influenced by his girlfriend.

Long-Term Affair and Fatal Pressure

Police investigations revealed that Rohit and Ritu had been in a relationship for several years. Sanju, by her very presence, was seen as the barrier to their future together. Under what officers described as “pressure” from Ritu to “remove Sanju from the way,” Rohit carried out the murder and tried to disguise it as a case of loot gone wrong.

Both Rohit and Ritu have now been arrested and are under interrogation as authorities work to piece together the full sequence of events leading to the crime. The case was cracked within 24 hours.

For the Saini family, what appeared to be an ordinary evening turned into a tragedy of unimaginable betrayal that unfolded not at the hands of strangers but within their own home.
