Bengaluru Rains: Heavy Showers Cause Chaos; Roads Waterlogged, Flights Delayed, Traffic Snarled (VIDEO)
Internet users have shared many videos showing roads flooded with water and traffic disrupted due to the rains. The internet users are slamming the authorities for the poor infrastructure as it was reportedly only the second rains received by the city in the season.

Bengaluru, March 22: Unexpected rains on Saturday (March 22) wreaked havoc in Bengaluru. Visuals have surfaced from various parts of the city showing the streets and roads flooded with water. There are also reports that flights have been impacted due to the adverse weather conditions in Bengaluru.
Commuters had to face difficulties travelling from Kasturi Nagar towards MMT Junction (KR Puram), as rainwater accumulated near the MMT bus stop. This caused slow traffic movement towards Whitefield, Mahadevapura, and KR Puram. The K.R. Pura Traffic Police urged commuters and drivers to cooperate.

One of the users shared a video showing traffic mowing at snail's pace on flooded road and said, "#bengaluru just received its second rain of the year and roads at multiple areas are already water logged. This one is at Bellandur, ORR."
IndiGo and Air India issued travel advisories as the flight operations were interrupted due to the bad weather in Bengaluru. Around 10 flights were reportedly diverted to Chennai due to the significant rains in the city.
IndiGo said, "Unfavourable weather conditions have impacted flight operations in Bengaluru. We understand this may further impact your travel plans, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding."
It also said, "We encourage you to keep a tab on your flight status for real-time updates. Should there be a need to adjust your travel plans, you can explore flexible rebooking options or claim a refund conveniently via our website."
It further added, "Our teams are closely monitoring the weather, and we remain committed to resuming smooth and timely operations as soon as conditions improve. Thank you for cooperating."
Air India said, "#ImportantUpdate Due to adverse weather conditions in Bengaluru, flight operations are currently impacted, resulting in air traffic congestion. We advise all our passengers to check their flight status here- http://airindia.com/in/en/manage/flight-status.html… before proceeding to the airport."
As per reports from GoTechWar, North Bengaluru witnessing heavy showers of around 27.8mm at Airport Road and 19.4mm in Yelahanka.
