In a shocking incident, a video of a man reportedly from Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh weeping and claiming that his brother was killed in a road accident and was asked by the watchman of the post-mortem house for a ₹500 bribe if he wanted to see the dead body of his brother at night has surfaced.
The undated video has now gone viral on social media. The man in the video introduces himself as Narendra Bhardwaj. He claims in the video that he was informed by the police about the death of his brother in an accident. Bhardwaj said that the cops asked him to come to Aligarh post-mortem house to see his brother's mortal remains.
Watchman Demands ₹500 Bribe
In the video Bhardwaj claims that the post-mortem house was locked and that he was asked for a ₹500 bribe from the watchman of the post-mortem house."₹500 do toh aaunga nahi toh nahi aaunga," Bharadwaj said. He further says, the watchman told him to either pay ₹500 or come back in the morning.
Came Hanging On The Tempo
Bhardwaj further claims that he had come to the post-mortem house hanging on a tempo. This shows that the poor man did not have money for travelling, how will he be able to pay a bribe of Rs 500 to the watchman to see his brother's dead body. He reached the spot late at night due to which he found the mortuary locked.
He called the watchman of the post-mortem house at night and urged him to open the mortuary so that he would be able to see his brother's dead body. However, the watchman denied and said that he will only come if he is ready to pay Rs 500 as bribe.
Internet users are demanding strict action against the watchman for his inhumane behavior as the video went viral on social media.
There are no reports of any action against the accused watchman in connection with the matter. No complaint has been filed or any police action into the matter. FPJ does not vouch for the claims made by the person in the viral video.
