Plot

When The Phone Rings focuses on the complicated relationship between Paik Sa-eon and Hong Hee-joo, who are married in a secret arrangement and live together unhappily. Sa-eon's life takes a dramatic turn when he receives a mysterious call informing him that his wife has been kidnapped.

The earlier episodes depict how Hong Hee-joo's accident has changed him, leading him to develop feelings for her. In the forthcoming episodes, Sa-eon will make efforts to strengthen their marriage and reconnect with his wife.
